Want to Volunteer With FSTRA?
What's Involved?
Our clients usually start with 3 volunteers at the beginning of the program.
One person to lead the horse, and two sidewalkers who walk on either side of the client when they ride.
Ultimately our goal is for all our clients to become independent riders. Eventually clients may not need all 3 volunteers to assist during lessons as they progress through our program.

Volunteer Orientation Sessions:
These run for approximately 2 hours. These are scheduled periodically throughout the year depending on interest for new volunteers. We need at least 5 people interested in volunteering in order to schedule a Volunteer Orientation Session. They are held at Rohan Wood Stables and they are a great opportunity to become familiar with the facility, responsibilities & expectations of becoming a volunteer and to ask any questions you may have.
